surreal salad

I seriously would love to do a stint as a food photographer...
The parents made a getaway this weekend and Elliot went to stay with a friend (home alone, hooray!). They got back today, and so it was Chef Salad for lunch! They made some on their minivacation, so we had the ingredients and Dad whipped it up pretty quick.

Here some alternate versions of the mountains and clouds. These are all lightened versions, but they were lightened in Picasa2 after cropping in GIMP, so they're not guaranteed to be exactly the same!!

The peels: Photoshop trick I learned from Popular Photography. Open image, duplicate layer, invert duplicate layer colors, then change layers mode to Colors. I'm not yet sure if this changes the mode for all layers or just that one, though. Anyway...

Peels

Well, at approximately 11:15 this morning, my camera was delivered. Pretty quick considering it was shipped on the 9th. So, it's back. And it is indeed fixed.

The orange peels (peelings?) are a shot I took with my camera today.

The mountains and clouds are around Joseph, I think. But I'm not sure... it was a shot from Mr. Boyd's car coming back from a cast and crew party for a play. This is cropped and tweaked.
